Oh these two. I cannot even begin to tell you how powerful the love that they have for one another is. From the moment I met them, I knew that they had something that so many people long for.
You may remember their engagement that I photographed a while back at the beach, in January! Jon went right along with Jackie's plans to get in the freezing cold Pacific Ocean.
Their love story began a while after they met, because they actually were not too fond of each other at first. It's ok though, they became friends in boot-camp and their relationship began to blossom after that. A few years of seeing each other once a month at drill and sending each other deployment care packages passed and they formed a solid friendship that later became a beautiful love story.
"He said he never thought I'd be interested. So, I told him he should ask... and he did!"
It’s hard to put my finger on what made this particular wedding so extraordinary. From the preparations to the silly groomsmen and the way that they integrated a shotgun into the ceremony, to the incredible hand written-teary-eyed vows exchanged between the bride and groom. Or possible Jackie and and the glowing joy that she radiated, her open smile and beautiful laugh. Maybe it was the sand ceremony that this new family participated in as everyone witnessed the bond that they all had.
I truly think that it was all of the above, and so much more. These two are such spectacular people separately, and together they are a brilliant force of brains, beauty, and brightness. It was an extraordinary pleasure to be a part of their Temecula, California wedding.
