My recent adventure in Iceland was one that I will never forget. Partly because I had only ever been to Mexico at this point, but mostly because I was able to see so many amazing things, and ate some of the best food I have ever had. As a matter of fact, I am still working that off a little...but it was totally worth it. We made it all the way around the Island in about eight days.

Sólheimasandur Beach Plane Crash | South Iceland
One of Iceland’s most iconic & haunting photography locations. On Saturday Nov 24, 1973 a United States Navy Douglas Super DC-3 airplane was forced to land on Sólheimasandur’s black sand beach in the south of Iceland after experiencing some severe icing. Luckily all crew members survived the crash, but the airplane’s fuselage was abandoned.
